Michael, a former public-school band director, is a published composer for high school and middle school bands and orchestras. He is also the brass arranger Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Virtual Drum Corps, a state-of-the-art virtual performance experience with over 2,000 contributors.

 

Chad, a freelance gigging musician with over twenty-years of experience, has extensive knowledge of digital audio workstations. He consults with high school and middle school band programs across the Midwest, is the Brass Caption Head for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps, and plays Tuba with the Blues / Swamp-Funk power trio, Elephant Rescue.

 

With the virtual commissioning project, you get:

If you choose the virtual performance option, for no additional cost, you also get:

• A professionally edited virtual performance including video and audio of your students

 

You will receive PDFs of all parts, rehearsal tracks of each individual part with metronome, as well as a performance click track. For virtual performances, you will also receive detailed instructions on how your students are to record and submit their videos. 

 

Additionally, if the piece is published, your name and your school’s name will appear in the dedication line above the title for all to see!

 

For the virtual performance videos, no recording equipment is needed beyond a cellphone!

 

The cost is $800 for a 1.5-minute composition, regardless of grade level, with each additional minute for $300. And, there is no price difference if you choose to do the virtual performance component!
